People often ask me what motivates me to paint a subject and there is no formula. I connect at that moment with a subject and it moves me. I see how light has affected the scene and the emotional quality of that moment. So I pick up my brush and the artistic journey begins. Ballet, orchestra, tango or a simple restaurant scene with friends connecting over coffee are moments that spur me on to capture the essence and quality of that moment. It is how I see the world.
